Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations Hannah on your success.

Following on from her success in the internal public speaking competition recently held at Greenbank, we are delighted to announce that year 10 pupil, Hannah Kelly, was also triumphant at the prestigious Rotary Club Public Speaking Competition, which is held annually at the Royal Clifton Hotel.

Hannah presented her speech on 'The Choices we Make' to an audience of  Rotarians, teachers and parents. Hannah's ten minute speech covered topics as wide ranging as euthanasia, women's rights and international acts of terrorism and was well received by both the audience and the other candidates. She beat off competition from four other Southport schools and, as well as receiving prizes for both herself and the school library, will now go on to record her speech for the Southport  Talking Newspaper.
