Welcome Back

Inspire Care Achieve’

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Greenbank High School and trust our website will give you a flavour of what makes Greenbank an outstanding school. As a school we are determined to inspire our students through learning both inside and outside the classroom, care for individual pastoral needs and achieve the highest academic standards. We believe we are a centre of excellence for students of all abilities and backgrounds.

We are very proud of the school, our students, staff and governors and I am eager to share our achievements with you. In August 2015 Greenbank achieved its best ever results with 74% of students achieving 5A*-C grades including GCSE English and Mathematics. In March 2015 we were named in the top 100 schools for GCSE English Baccalaureate performance  which celebrated our outstanding performance in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum. In August 2015 we have extended this by a further 4%.

We are a dynamic learning community built on traditional values. Education at Greenbank provides much more than exam excellence. It aims to develop and nurture all students to take their place as caring and confident young women in the outside world.

I look forward to working with all members of our school community in 2015/16 and would warmly welcome any visitors wishing to visit Greenbank.

Mr Ian Raikes
