Hepburn girls raise money for UNICEF.
Hepburn girls have had an outstanding start to this year. They have earned enough house points to take them straight to the top of the leader board and have already raised more money this term for the house charity (UNICEF), than they did through all of last year. Girls in years 7 & 8 have been jumping around in the gym taking part in a sponsored skip, but despite their exertions, it was me who was staggering afterwards - when I saw the amount of money they had raised - £452! Creepy cakes and monstrous muffins were the order of the day at the Halloween cake sale, which saw the crush hall jammed packed with buyers on an even bigger scale than last year’s event. With ongoing stationery sales and auditions about to take place for the house talent show, Christmas is fast approaching. Some wise words from the House Captains at the recent assembly has hopefully made some of the girls rethink what is really important and what matters most at this time of year. Hopefully Audrey Hepburn herself would be proud of the caring nature the girls are demonstrating.
